Our name is Latin for liberated voice. It reflects an interest in stories and perspectives that have not always found an audience through mainstream publishing.
We work at the meeting point of scholarly attention and accessible expression. A recovered text should be approached with curiosity, placed in context and prepared with care for the reader who encounters it today.
What interests us
Our interests include Australian literary history, queer and marginalised perspectives, and gothic and supernatural writing. Literary merit, scholarly value and cultural significance guide the search; ethical republication and reliable source material determine what can progress.
A publishing house in development
We are building our editorial programme through research, evaluation and careful preparation. Our publishing interests span print books, audiobooks, podcasts and serialised digital works. Formats and publication decisions are considered individually.
People and judgement
